Our Story
MindingTheGap Coaching and Communications training (MTG) provides training and coaching in advanced communication skills, leadership skills, and conflict management.
Based in Launceston, Northern Tasmania, and offering services throughout Australia, MTG offers a range of introductory and advanced workshops and seminars, as well as Communication and Compassion Coaching. Over the past four years MTG has provided 40 workshops in LOD® and PCM , to Health Service, University, Government, Corporate and Private clients, catering for more than 400 participants.

David Woods MBBS FAChPM
Former General Practitioner, and practicing Palliative Care Medical Specialist, David is keen to share his learning in communication and compassion: “Medical training did not prepare me for the communication challenges I faced with patients, colleagues, nor health bureaucracies - the tools of The Process Communication Model ®(PCM) and Leading Out of Drama® (LOD) did”.
David is a triple-certified coach, being a Certified Provider of the Process Communication Model, and a Leading Out of Drama® Advanced Provider, as well as an ICF Associate Certified Coach . He combines this knowledge with 30 yrs of clinical experience applying Compassion in the setting of Palliative Care.
Other teaching and training roles have included Course Coordinator in Palliative Care at Edith Cowan University, Conjoint Senior Lecturer, University of Tasmania, RACP Supervisor and Facilitator of Supervisor Training, and in the 1980's - gliding instructor.
Robyn Liddington BA, RN
Robyn has extensive experience as a Nurse and Nursing Director and first utilised LoD in managing conflict within the health setting.
Managing teams in the health arena brings with it the complexity of the patient/nurse/doctor/health practitioner relationship. Robyn has the experience of understanding the force for good found in conflict and the improvements that can be made in volatile team situations.
Robyn’s combined experience of 30 plus years in clinical, management and director roles brings the ability to work across diverse settings and teams.
Robyn is a Leading Out of Drama® Provider and Robyn's experience supporting nurses, midwives and health care clients to harness the energy of conflict to create better outcomes is sure to benefit those she trains.
