This one-day training workshop introduces the core theory and concepts of NextElement’s Compassion Cycle. All participants take the online full Drama Resilience Assessment® (DRA). This course will launch participants on a journey of self-discovery, provide new insights for dealing with drama, and set the stage for further applications of LOD.
Three one-day modules are available to build on skills learned in the Core workshop (completion of LOD core is a prerequisite).
This is a modular series of 4 workbooks, which can be applied to use the skills of Compassionate Accountability:
1. Daily Connections • Analyze workplace relationship drama, costs and consequences • Understand the role of compassion skills in daily connections • Use the strategies of Compassionate Accountability to increase connection and improve work relationships
2. Meetings • Analyze meeting drama, costs and consequences • Apply the compassion cycle to improve the experience and effectiveness of meetings • Learn an effective decision-making strategy for meetings • Use templates to improve how you set agendas and facilitate effective meetings
3. Performance Conversations • Recognize and analyze drama-based performance problems • Assess costs and consequences of drama-based performance problems • Apply the compassion cycle to improve performance • Apply a template for conducting performance conversations
4. Apologies • Recognize why so many apologies fall short • Identify the three core issues that an effective apology must address • Learn and apply a four-step process for better apologies.
Intended for use with workgroups and teams after attending the Conflict&You workshop, each app-pack workbook takes approximately 4hrs to complete in a group session.
